                                                                                   Tom Mair is a musical perfectionist. He is allways striving to get the last nuance right.He plays with a deep understanding and wisdom.

     Tom is also a songwriter, collaborating with many artists around Canada including the Winnipeg based band FIST/MYOFIST. The album "BOLTED DOOR" (which he co-wrote and played solos on) features some Rockin' treasures in which he played a role in bringing to life. As a guitar player, singer, and songwriter, Tom is a true professional. He sees himself as a dedicated musician First and a guitar fanatic second. Starting on drums, then graduating to guitar and bass and dabbling at keyboards, Tom Mair loves to play all styles of music and has covered everything in bands ranging from 6 or 7 Piece variety bands complete with saxaphonists and the like as well as strictly country bands right up to heavy-metal bands...........and everything in between.

     Tom has diligently studied Music Theory as well as created his own 'Rock Guitar Theory/Method' which he hopes to finish writing and publish so. He loves what his current working band, 'SOUP OF FLIES', has to offer the public and fell in love with the band the first time he saw them live.

    Tom Mairs' influences include Jimi Hendrix, Ace Frehley, Joe Satriani and Randy Rhoads to name a few.
